Isla Angus
Global Music and Culture Partnerships Lead
What I do at ClientEarth
Isla is ClientEarth's Global Music & Culture Partnerships Lead. She leads the Music & Culture team, which builds partnerships with artists, cultural institutions, creative businesses and philanthropists in support of ClientEarth's environmental mission.
Why ClientEarth
"The people who tend to thrive in our team are those who enjoy turning ideas into reality. Much of our work starts with a conversation or a relationship, but success comes from turning those into partnerships, projects and campaigns that deliver real value for the organisation and the climate movement. Strong project management, good judgement and the ability to see things through from beginning to end are equally as important as building relationships is. The work is highly collaborative, so curiosity, generosity, initiative and a willingness to create opportunities for others also go a long way."
Who am I?
Before joining ClientEarth, Isla spent almost 20 years in the music industry. She started out organising DIY music shows in Glasgow before co-founding the UK's first women-led concert promoting company, Synergy Concerts. She later founded Europe's first women-led booking agency and subsequently co-founded Earth Agency, Europe's second women-led music agency, representing more than 300 artists internationally. She joined ClientEarth to build new connections between culture and climate action.
