Jonathan White

Johnny White leads ClientEarth's Accountable Corporations team. He and his team use the law to hold businesses to account for their contributions to the climate, plastics and toxic pollution crises. His team works at the leading edge of how human rights, corporate and commercial law apply to corporate environmental issues.  Among other things, it has brought pioneering climate-related fiduciary duty litigation and has successfully used the legal system to fight greenwashing and expose climate obstructionism, securing legal victories and concessions from many of the world's largest companies. 

Prior to joining ClientEarth in 2020, Johnny worked at the law firm Clifford Chance, specialising in commercial and financial disputes and international human rights law.  With his free time, Johnny enjoys running and cooking with his children.
