About the role

The purpose of the Impact Lead role is to help ClientEarth understand the impact of our work globally on transforming systems to advance improved and equitable outcomes for people and planet.
As an organisation, we have undergone a major transformation to deliver our new strategy’s focus on a systems approach to contribute to Climate, Nature, Justice and Health impacts. We are in the process of embedding a new organisational-level theory of change and strong monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) culture within the organisation.
Main Duties
- Lead ClientEarth’s impact measurement agenda, including the standardisation of MEL approaches across all levels of the organisation
- Build a robust Evidence Base - work closely with programme and external engagement colleagues to improve the fit of evaluation designs with our internal and external evidence needs, and the use of insights for both decision making and external engagement.
- Partnerships for Evidence - Identify opportunities and partnerships to further build the evidence base at ClientEarth
- Data management, analysis and reporting
- Promoting a culture of learning
- Team management

Role requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in evaluation or related fields or relevant experience
- Expertise in theory-based, mixed-method research design, including developing theories of change and designing qualitative and quantitative research and evaluation instruments and reports
- Strong working knowledge of evaluation theory, practice and use (e.g knowledge and experience of evaluation methodologies and their application in the context of advocacy, engagement and/or strategic litigation
- Excellent team management and teamwork skills
- Excellent data analysis skills
